Ashwin is a Senior Associate with Kochhar Dubai primarily practising mainland litigation. His area of expertise is corporate commercial disputes, real estate disputes, criminal cases including frauds and scams, labour disputes, debt recovery including cheque execution, rental disputes and banking disputes.
Ashwin actively advises clients on litigation strategy, case preparation, evidence gathering and Court procedures. His expertise lies in ensuring that the cases of clients are effectively portrayed before the UAE courts including Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal and Court of Cassation. He regularly drafts and reviews case memoranda as well as assists with adducing evidence and presenting the same before the Courts and Court appointed experts.
Ashwin also has substantial experience in arbitrations and has represented clients in arbitrations conducted in accordance with the DIAC Rules, ADGM Arbitration Rules, as well as other arbitration frameworks.
He ensures to make himself available for clients in difficult/ sensitive circumstances and has a hands-on-approach to each and every case that he is entrusted with. He strives to ensure that the best possible representation is provided to the client with focus on results.
